'Plants and Wires' comprised of new drawings and paintings inspired by electrical circuits and natural forms. These images explore the structures of plants, flowers and trees; juxtaposed with wallpaper designs and patterns from the insides of envelopes.

This is my exhibition statement:

I graduated from the Sculpture department of the Glasgow School of Art in 2006. During this time I experimented with using digital media both as a tool and sculpturally. Following my degree I briefly worked in Floristry. It was quite an extreme contrast to move from using wiring and very modern technology to working with natural materials and basic manual tools. This contrast is something that really appeals to me; in fact one of the major themes I explore is that of the relationship between nature and manufacture.

Within my practice I work with many different media. Although this means I produce a variety of visual styles I feel that my works are united by consistency in the themes I choose to pursue.
